I chair a couple of boards, part of our agenda is we make sure we promote diversity and get the talent in early on and train them in their thinking, often they’re very good and stay at a lower level, they don’t know the softer skills of moving upwards in your career, they need to learn about communication, getting buy in, building trust, networking, often the analytics folks don’t value those things because they think my work will show and they like what I’m doing and they’ll promote me but that’s not how things work.
